Liberty VPN Review

Liberty VPN provides their valued customers with a service that ensures their privacy and anonymity while online. The VPN name itself says ‘liberty’. People that live or visit countries where Internet censorship exists such as (China, UAE, Saudi Arabia) can connect to any blocked website with the Liberty VPN service. You can also use Liberty VPN to watch TV programs online from your home country. Now let’s see what features make this the go-to VPN for most of the users.

Is My Privacy Protected with Liberty VPN?

Liberty VPN is not very clear on whether they keep logs considering their very vague Privacy Policy. However, after a lot of research it seems as if they do not maintain logs which is a great thing, however, that should be made very clear so there is no confusion.
Privacy Policy
“This policy applies exclusively to our site and not to other websites of other companies or organizations to which we provide links. Information on “site usage” by visitors may be used in the aggregate to help determine general usage patterns in order to ensure that the site is as useful and enjoyable as possible. HTMLs served in conjunction with its site are in no means controlled or tracked. “Cookies” are not used for any reason. If any individually identifiable information is collected it will not be released to third parties without that individual’s prior consent.”
Once you’ve got the software installed and your login information ready, don’t just sit there, connect to that service already!
If your VPN program isn’t easy to use and fast to log into, it’s not worth the space it takes up on your hard drive.
LibertyVPN’s ultra-simple, bare bones program isn’t anything flashy, but it’s simple design makes it very straightforward to use.

How Much is Liberty VPN? Is There a Free Trial?

LibertyVPN offers four different subscription plans: monthly, yearly, three months and six months. All include the same features, varying only in duration and price. The subscriptions are renewed automatically and can be cancelled at any time, as there are no long-term obligations. The service also offers a 3-day money-back guarantee.

Our Refund Policy
In case a customer is not completely satisfied with our VPN services and meets the terms below a 100% refund will be issued.
1. A written notification via email within the first 5 days of the contract
2. Bandwidth usage must not exceed 50MB.
If you have not received your refund after 10 days, please inform us using the contact form”

Liberty VPN Speed Test

The IP tests we all fine and the DNS test came back clear and indicating that they use OpenDNS – even though this is proprietary it is a lot more stable than OpenNic. For the speed tests we have now started using TestMy.Net instead of the old as it provides much better real-world results. The speed tests were a little lower than we were hoping for, but were stable and adequate for every day use including streaming.

How is Customer Service at Liberty VPN?

If a company isn’t available around the clock to answer your questions, you could be waiting a long time for help.
Depending on the time zone of the company versus your own, hours could be odd, and it can be difficult to get in touch with service representatives.
LibertyVPN doesn’t offer 24/7 support, so be sure that you feel confident using the software without round the clock assistance.
Liberty VPN has basic but adequate support. The main VPN Errors are covered in a Troubleshooting guide on their website and if that doesn’t help you out then they have a ticket support system that will get back to you within 24 hours (2 hours average). They also have a YouTube channel with some helpful guides. I do wish, however, that more effort would be put into making the support service more efficient for users because nobody wants to wait hours for a simple response.

• Number of Server Locations (countries) – 9
• Number of servers – 83
• Does VPN keep logs – Partially
• Includes Kill Switch – No
• Devices per license – 3
• Support in different languages
• Reasonable speeds
• limited locations
• No torrenting
• Some logs are recorded
LibertyVPN works even in countries that block other VPN services, such as China, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and others. It also allows users to bypass blocks on popular programs, such as Skype, YouTube or Facebook. Also, users have the ability to access Geo-restricted websites, such as BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, Spotify, Pandora, among others.

Is Liberty VPN Safe?

They support PPTP, L2TP, SSTP and OpenVPN connections. Though they only use 128bit encryption for all, it is adequate for the general person. Unfortunately with the OpenVPN connection you can only use it for their UK servers which is a huge let down, though they say US in the works.
The disappointments keep coming in the security areas: they say that they do not keep logs on their homepage but we found out that they do and it’s easy to trace back to you, PPP has to be disabled when connecting from an Android device and they do comply with DMCA requests.
In most cases they do use shared IPs and on request can provide dedicated IPs.

Bottom Line

Generally, I happen to like Liberty VPN. I do however believe that their prices are too high for some users and you can actually get this very same service for cheap or even for free. Don’t get me wrong, their services are very commendable compared to many other VPNs out there, but they could do a little more work on the pricing sections. I am all for a great VPN, but I shouldn’t have to rob a bank to afford it. I also wish that their Privacy Policy was much more defined so there is no guessing on whether logs are kept or not. Aside from that, I would totally use this service.
