Identity Cloaker Review
It can be difficult to figure out what Identity Cloaker really is, but it does a great job at offering protection.
What is Identity Cloaker?
Identity Cloaker could be defined as an “Internet Privacy Protection Service”. Its main goal is to protect your privacy by encrypting the data sent over the Internet in the most vulnerable part of the data transmission path, and by hiding your physical location and IP address from prying eyes. There are, however, more advantages…
Do you want to see a website that is normally blocked by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or network administrator, or that cannot be viewed from your country? Do you manage Internet marketing campaigns targeted to specific geographical locations through IP address based content delivery and want to see the advertisements exactly as your potential customers in different countries see them? Identity Cloaker can help you with that too.
What Identity Cloaker is *NOT*?
1. Identity Cloaker is not a “Free Proxy Server Service”.
Identity Cloaker is not some rubbish free proxy service that hands you a huge list of so-called free proxy servers, that are either overloaded, not working, or even infected by viruses and other nasty stuff. We do not rely on rubbish and neither should you! Instead, IdentityCloaker.com operates its own growing network of private servers around the world.
2. Identity Cloaker is not a “Web Based Proxy Service”.
Web-based proxy services (those websites you visit and enter the URL address you want to access into a form field provided on such a website), are usually Perl or PHP scripts that hide your IP address. To use them, you must change your surfing habits and they do not work in every situation because they must rewrite the source HTML code – for example, to change image paths. This often results in problems.
Not every page is displayed incorrectly. SSL protected websites (those whose address in the URL bar starts with https://) and websites needing authentication, such as membership websites, work rarely. Web proxies can easily be blocked by network administrators. And even if their domain is not blocked (yet), the transferred data is unencrypted and it’s easy for the network admin to recognize what you do with such a service.
Imagine a situation when you want to visit a website that’s normally blocked. You use web proxy and visit the blocked web through it. However, the network administrator (or your Internet Service Provider, boss, spouse or hacker…) can see that you visited the web proxy website – but they can also see what you were doing while using it! They can find the visited websites and see the transferred data. The consequences could be dire. Web-based proxy services offer a very low level of safety. They hide your IP address and allow you to access *some* websites that you normally could not. But that’s about it.
3. Identity Cloaker is not “volunteer dependent”.
Some anonymity networks and privacy protection services, including the popular TOR, rely on volunteers which results in an unpredictable quality of service, usually resulting in very low data transfer speeds and temporal malfunction. Although such services can very often offer a great level of security, they are intended mostly for transferring relatively small amount of data.

How Much is Identity Cloaker? Is There a Free Trial?
The packages of the service varies in subscription periods, so there are:
• 10-day trial access costs €4.97. The plan is suitable for those who need the tool on a one-off basis, as it allows to test everything you want and connect to any server you like.
• 30-day subscription costs €12.97 or € 0.43 a day. The package differs from the others in subscription period only.
• 3-month subscription costs €29.97 or €9.99 a month.
• 6-month subscription costs €49.97 or €8.33 a month.
• 12-month subscription costs €79.97 or €6.67 a month.
It should be mentioned that all the packages have apps compatible with numerous platforms and what is even more attractive, provided that you paid for the service with your credit card, which supports automatic renewals, your subscription won’t be rebilled at the end of a subscription period. This is great, because few people read the terms of usage attentively and so become victims of their ignorance.
If we compare the prices for the packages with average rates on the market of the service, they seem to be reasonable and middle. Moreover, you have a great opportunity to save your money if you are not sure about the service by having subscribed for a trial version. Unfortunately, it’s not free like many other providers do, but it’s not restricted in features either. When it comes to accepted payment methods, there are Credit/Debit Cards, PayPal and Credit/Debit Cards via PayPal directly. Bitcoin is also accepted per request, it’s not automated though. In case you are a customer from an EU country and you don’t form a subscription for your entity a value added tax will be deducted as well.
Identity Cloaker Speed Test
Speeds on Identity Cloaker service were very impressive. Over a 50Mbps/5Mbps connection from Albuquerque to Washington DC via a server located in Phoenix, AZ, there was less than a 7Mbps reduction in download speed compared to the baseline test. Upload speeds, for all practical purposes, were nearly unaffected so I feel like it’s worth the shot.

Is Identity Cloaker Safe?
One of the most important advantages of Identity Cloaker is that it encrypts your data using SSH tunneling and a military grade encryption of 256-bit. Additionally, they support OpenVPN protocol, which is recognized for the high level of security that it offers. These strong measures are set to protect your data from online threats and they also enhance your privacy. You can keep your identity covered as your IP address is not exposed and your online traffic is encrypted, which means that not even your ISP will be able to see what you do online.
The main purpose of Identity Cloaker is to give customers the possibility to enjoy the freedom to access the content they want, without sacrificing their privacy. They have their own network of proxy servers that allow you to disguise your IP address to protect your identity and access blocked websites. When you use Identity Cloaker, your real IP address is concealed, which helps to keep your privacy and your location protected from eavesdroppers and online fraudsters. The proxy servers will also allow you to bypass geographical restrictions or local censorship as you will appear as if you were connecting from another country.
Identity Cloaker is a good service with fast speeds and a simple client. It does have a bandwidth limitation, but it’s a very generous one and shouldn’t cause problems for anyone but the most active downloaders. As a tip, don’t bother with the demo version. The paid trial will give you a much more accurate idea of what this service offers, and it’s worth checking out if you want something easy and effective to protect your privacy.
